Description
We called this Maikio Red for many years as it was being grown at Maikio in Whirinaki. It is an early commercial variety that Joseph has been growing for over 30 years and we are pretty certain that it is actually Owairaka Red. It came originally from commercial stock and he has selected for keeping and disease resistant qualities. A great productive main crop kumara. Vigorous growth habit with long runners.
